ISSF World Cup Final Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun
By hosting the ISSF World Cup Final in 2014, Gabala created one of Azerbaijan's strongest entry points into the global shooting stage. This format is the season-ending elite final that brings together selected top athletes, placing Azerbaijan among high-level host nations.
1st European Games - Shooting
Shooting competitions at the 2015 European Games were held at the Baku Shooting Center. Although this event was not part of the ISSF World Cup series, it showcased Azerbaijan's infrastructure and organizational quality at European level. It also awarded 15 Olympic quota places for Rio 2016.
ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun
This stage in Gabala was one of Azerbaijan's largest World Cup hosting efforts. As the final World Cup stage of the season, it had high competitive value and distributed 34 Olympic quota places for Rio 2016. The event reinforced Gabala's reputation as an international shooting center.
ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun
Baku 2016 was the capital's first major World Cup stage in the ISSF calendar, proving that the venue built for the 2015 European Games could operate again at top international level. The stage included 15 Olympic events across rifle, pistol, and shotgun.

This event confirmed that Baku was not only an ISSF World Cup host, but also capable of staging a large multi-day European Championship. It covered senior and junior competitions and included the European qualifier stage for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun
The Baku 2020 World Cup appeared officially in the ISSF calendar but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This still matters because Baku remained part of ISSF host planning in that period.
