ISSF World Cup Hangzhou 2026 Concludes Successfully

The ISSF World Cup Hangzhou 2026 concluded after six days of world-class competition in Hangzhou, China, bringing together 686 athletes from 61 countries and 66 ISSF Member Federations across the rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines. 

The competition featured several memorable performances and world records. China’s Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai set a new World Record of 488.4 to win the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team title, while Zhang Changhong established another World Record with 363.0 in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions final. The final gold medal went to Australia’s James Willett and Penny Smith, who equalled the Trap Mixed Team World Record with 37 hits

Host nation China topped the medal table with 18 medals (7 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze). The United States finished second, while India placed third. Athletes from 17 nations won gold medals, and 15 Member Federations celebrated at least one podium finish during the competition. 

Beyond the sporting achievements, the Hangzhou World Cup highlighted China’s importance in the global development of shooting sport through outstanding organisation, strong spectator engagement and the announcement of the ISSF’s new partnership with Relegend. Hangzhou will also host additional ISSF events in 2027, reinforcing its key role in the international shooting calendar.
