William Hinton wins Men's Trap gold at the Hangzhou World Cup
William Hinton of the United States won the Men's Trap title at the ISSF World Cup in Hangzhou. The gold medal was decided in the final series.
William Hinton recovered after missing two targets in the opening stages and finished first with 28 hits to take gold. Qatar's Angelo Scalzone secured silver with 27 hits, while China's Qi Ying claimed bronze with 22.
Italy's Massimo Fabbrizi placed fourth with 16 hits, followed by Yang Kun-Pi of Chinese Taipei in fifth with 13. India's Bhowneesh Mendiratta finished sixth with 11, Jack Brosseau of the United States seventh with eight, and Italy's Giovanni Pellielo eighth with seven.
The Men's Trap title remained undecided until the final series. William Hinton held his advantage under pressure to secure the Hangzhou World Cup gold medal.
