National Cup Concludes in Baku

The National Cup was held at the Baku Shooting Center from 15 to 19 September 2026, bringing together athletes from across Azerbaijan for five days of rifle and pistol competition.

A total of 91 athletes representing seven organisations recorded 203 starts during the competition. The programme included 25m Pistol, 50m Rifle 3 Positions, 50m Free Pistol, 10m Air Pistol, 10m Air Rifle and Mixed Team events.

In Women's 25m Pistol, Nigar Nasirova claimed gold ahead of Hagigat Atayeva and Zeynab Sultanova. Ramiz Khalilov won 50m Rifle 3 Positions, followed by Alimammad Huseynov and Nigar Ramazanova, while Rasul Mammadov took the 50m Free Pistol title ahead of Hagigat Atayeva and Haji Musayev.

In the Air Pistol Mixed Team event, Ruslan Lunev and Nigar Nasirova won gold, with Khanna Aliyeva and Haji Musayev taking silver and Vladislav Kalmikov and Khalida Aliyeva earning bronze. In Air Rifle Mixed Team, Ramiz Khalilov and Leyli Balabayli finished first, Zahid Sofiyev and Elvina Afsana second, and Elvira Allahyarova and Ilkin Hasanli third.

Sofiya Barkhalova won the Women's 10m Air Pistol final with 236.0 points, just 0.1 ahead of Nigar Nasirova, while Hagigat Atayeva claimed bronze. Ruslan Lunev secured the Men's 10m Air Pistol title with 239.6 points, ahead of Ilya Kvokov and Vladislav Kalmikov.

In Women's 10m Air Rifle, Elvira Allahyarova won gold with 247.5 points, followed by Nigar Ramazanova and Zhala Bayramova. Ramiz Khalilov topped the Men's 10m Air Rifle competition, with Zahid Sofiyev second and Ilkin Hasanli third.

The National Cup provided athletes with an important opportunity to assess their preparation, gain competition experience and continue preparations for upcoming domestic and international events.
