Baku Open Shooting Tournament concludes

The tournament, held in Baku from 1 to 5 September 2026, brought together athletes competing in pistol and rifle events across different distances, including individual and mixed team competitions.

Alongside Azerbaijani athletes, shooters representing Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates also took part in the tournament, contributing to an exciting and competitive atmosphere.

The competition programme included 10m Air Pistol, 10m Air Rifle, 25m Pistol, 50m Free Pistol, 50m Rifle 3 Positions, as well as 10m Air Pistol and 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team events.

During the opening competition days, athletes competed in the 25m and 50m events. The programme then continued with the 10m Air Pistol and 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team competitions.

On the final day, the men’s and women’s 10m Air Pistol and 10m Air Rifle events took place, with athletes competing for top positions and medals.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the best-performing athletes in each event were determined and the winners were awarded.

Held within the framework of “Baku 2026 – World Sports Capital”, the tournament provided athletes with valuable competitive experience while contributing to the promotion and development of shooting sport.
