ISSF Junior World Championship Suhl 2026: young athletes rewrite the record books

Young athletes delivered outstanding performances at the ISSF Junior World Championship Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun Suhl 2026, with a total of 8 Junior World Records set across rifle and shotgun events.

The first record came on 18 June, when the USA team set a new mark in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Junior Team event. Great Britain’s Bethany Lilian Norton and Italy’s Marco Coco also set new Junior World Records in the skeet finals with 34 hits each.

In rifle events, Griffin Lake of the USA broke the 50m Rifle Prone Men Junior qualification record with 632.1. In trap, Italy’s Valentina Archetti and Francesco Tanfoglio set new final records with 28 hits each, while Brazil’s Hussein Daruich equalled the Trap Men Junior qualification world record with 124.

India set a new Junior World Record in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Junior event with 505.8, while Italy set another record in the Trap Mixed Team Junior final with 35 hits.
